Scientific Calculator
A free online scientific calculator with trig, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials and constants — works right in your browser.
About this calculator
A scientific calculator handles the operations a basic calculator cannot: trigonometry, logarithms, exponents, roots, factorials and mathematical constants. This one runs entirely in your browser — type an expression or tap the keypad and the result updates instantly, with no app to install.
You can combine operations freely in a single expression, using parentheses to control the order of evaluation. Standard precedence applies: powers first, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. Functions such as sin, cos, tan and their inverses, along with ln (natural log), log (base 10), exp and sqrt, accept an argument in parentheses.
Trigonometric functions respect the angle mode you choose. In degree mode, sin(30) returns 0.5; switch to radian mode and the same functions interpret their input as radians — essential when working through calculus or physics problems. The constants π and e are available directly, and the factorial operator (!) computes products of consecutive integers for combinatorics.
Because the calculator evaluates expressions rather than single button presses, it is well suited to homework, engineering estimates and quick checks. Enter something like 2^10 + sqrt(144) − sin(30) and it returns the full result in one step, showing the answer as you type.
Frequently asked questions
How do I switch between degrees and radians?
Use the angle-mode selector. In degree mode, trig functions treat their input as degrees; in radian mode, as radians. The mode affects sin, cos, tan and their inverses.
What functions are supported?
Basic arithmetic, powers (^), roots (sqrt), factorial (!), percentage (%), the constants π and e, plus sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan, ln, log, exp and abs.
Can I type a whole expression at once?
Yes. Enter a full expression with parentheses, such as (3 + 4) * 2^3, and the calculator evaluates it using standard order of operations.
Does it work offline or on mobile?
It runs in your browser and needs no installation. Once the page has loaded it works on phones, tablets and desktops alike.
